About the Classes

HATHA YOGA

This is the most commonly practised style of yoga in the West. In each class you’ll work with balancing the mind, body and breath. This is achieved by working with the breath (Pranayama), the physical postures (Asanas) and the calming of the mind through relaxation and short meditations.

All classes start with a short meditation. This helps you to just relax from the day you’ve had and arrive on your mat. You’ll then move into the physical practice and explore the wonderful postures of yoga and close the session with a deep and beautiful relaxation.

The pace of the class is steady, with gentle to deep stretches helping to relax the body, help release tension, increase circulation and de stress the mind.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

A deeply, relaxing style of yoga. Restorative yoga focuses on undoing stress that so many of us experience in life.

We often end up so busy that we can forget to take time to relax. Restorative yoga poses are supported and passive and can be held from five to fifteen minutes. During this time you are supported in the poses using blankets, pillows and blocks.

This invokes the body into a deep relaxation, which is healing to the nervous system and organs. It helps to ease muscle tension, general fatigue, insomnia, aids lowering blood pressure, improves immune function and helps digestion.

Great for anyone with auto immune conditions, chronic illness, anyone in recovery or simply to de-stress and give your body and mind some well deserved TLC.

RECHARGE & RESTORE

A gentle Hatha class, followed with a couple of yin/restorative postures and a lovely, long relaxation to end. Perfect for the end of the week, recharging your batteries for the weekend!

SLOW HATHA FLOW

This class will be of a faster pace. You’ll explore the poses a little more and go deeper into different variations of the asana (poses) At least 3 – 6 months of regular practice is advised before attending this class.

PRIVATE ONE-TO-ONE TUITION

A class designed specifically just for you. Each class lasts 90 minutes and in that time we’ll focus on whatever your body and mind needs on the day. We are all unique and require different focuses at different times. One to One Tuition allows you to work towards your overall wellbeing.

Whether you have an injury or chronic condition that needs addressing; a busy schedule that doesn’t allow you to attend regular yoga classes; you feel uncomfortable in a class environment or you want to develop a home practice and need guidance on how to support this….

Private One-to-One Tuition is a great way to support your health, body type and lifestyle. Please contact me for further details if this option is something you’d like to explore.
